Le COMCYBER rassemble l'ensemble des forces de cyberdéfense du ministère des Armées.
Il a pour mission la défense des systèmes d’information – dont les systèmes d’armes, ainsi que la conception, la planification et la conduite des opérations militaires dans le cyberespace. Il agit dans trois domaines de lutte informatique : défensive, offensive et d'influence.
Les armées recrutent plus de 1 000 cybercombattants et cybercombattantes d'ici 2030.
