Om gezamenlijk de uitdagingen op het gebied van o.a. arbeid, schaalvergroting, efficiency, plantgezondheid en -weerbaarheid, biodiversiteit, teeltmedia, productkwaliteit, continuïteit, leveringsbetrouwbaarheid en smart farming aan te pakken heeft een aantal ambitieuze aardbeientelers en -kwekers zich in de periode 2018-2019 verenigd onder de vlag van Fragaria Innova. Innovatie wordt gezien als hét middel om op bovengenoemde uitdagingen in te spelen en tevens de concurrentiepositie van de deelnemende telers te versterken. De economische haalbaarheid van product- en procesinnovatie ‘op het teeltbedrijf’ is hierbij randvoorwaardelijk. Fragaria Innova zal zich de komende jaren richten op innovaties binnen de thema’s ‘telen onder licht’ en ‘plantgezondheid’.
