FiRa Consortium

FiRa Consortium brings the ultra-wideband (UWB) community together to promote secure, interoperable technologies that are ready for real-world use. We work at the intersection of standards, industry collaboration, and market adoption to help UWB move from technical capability to trusted experiences. By aligning stakeholders across the ecosystem, FiRa helps create confidence in how solutions perform across devices, platforms, and environments, supporting consistent behavior, strong security, and reliable outcomes.

Our work supports growth across consumer, enterprise, and automotive applications by fostering a shared understanding of how UWB should work in practice. Through collaboration, technical alignment, and clearly defined frameworks, FiRa helps accelerate adoption of location services, secure interactions, and proximity-aware experiences. As UWB continues to expand into everyday products and services, FiRa plays a central role in shaping a global, trusted ecosystem that supports innovation, interoperability, and long-term market success.
