Eczacıbaşı Topluluğu’nun doğal kaynaklar şirketi olan Esan, Türkiye'nin önde gelen endüstriyel mineral ve metalik mineral üretici ve ihracatçılarından biridir. Esan, seramik sektörünün yüksek kalite hammadde ihtiyacını karşılamak için 1978 yılında kurulmuştur. Kuruluşundan bugüne yolculuğunda Türkiye’nin önde gelen endüstriyel mineral ve metalik maden üreticilerinden ve ihracatçılarından biri olmuştur.40’tan fazla ülkeye ihracat gerçekleştiren Esan yurt dışındaki müşterilerine daha iyi hizmet verebilmek amacıyla İtalya’da Esan Italia Minerals şirketini kurmuş, Ukrayna ve Çin’de temsilcilik ofislerini faaliyete geçirmiştir. Esan, "doğal kaynakları insana, çevreye, geleceğe duyarlı şekilde aramak, üretmek ve değerini artırarak dünyaya sunmak" misyonuyla çalışmaktadır.
Esan İSO 500 sıralamasına göre Türkiye’nin en büyük 139. sanayi kuruluşudur.
