DEARSAN Shipyard

DEARSAN Shipyard has been recognized as Turkey’s prominent shipbuilding company since its establishment in 1980. Until 2007, many commercial vessels such as ocean going tugboats, chemical and oil tankers, fast passenger ferries and cargo ships have been built or repaired.

DEARSAN has added a significant privilege to its design and construction capabilities by focusing on naval shipbuilding, considered to be more comprehensive field of expertise since 2007. 16 units of New Type Patrol Vessels (TUZLA CLASS) were successfully delivered under the agreement between DEARSAN Co. and the Undersecretariat of Defense Industry on August 23, 2007, based on the needs of Turkish Navy Command. What makes the Tuzla Class Patrol Boat superior than others, it is the first combat ship designed and built by our private sector along with the first ever combination of platforms of Defense Systems application that has been designed by our Domestic Defense Industry.

The first delivery of Tuzla Class Patrol Vessel had been realised in 2010. Due to successful manufacturing cycle, DEARSAN Co. was able to deliver 4 of this vessel every year which adds up to a total of 16 vessels in 4 years. Tuzla Class Patrol Vessels have been performing their operational duties since 2010 with full performance in the Black Sea, Marmara Sea, Aegean Sea and Mediterranean Sea.

DEARSAN Co. has built and delivered 10 units of export version of Tuzla Class Patrol Vessels them to a country nearby Caspian Sea.

The naval vessels that DEARSAN Co. designed, being built or delivered are Corvettes, Patrol Boats, Fast Attack Craft with Guided Missile Systems, Fast Intervention Boats, Hydrographic Survey Vessels, Ocean Going Tug Boats, Landing Crafts at the same time, DEARSAN Co. became the first Turkish private shipyard which carried out technology transfer including all training and integrated logistics support services.
