Corporate Women In Leadership

In line with the United Nations champion for women and girls on gender equality, empowerment, advancement of women and eradication of poverty, the Corporate Women in Leadership Initiative was founded by Adeline Sede-Kamga to create a platform for Corporate/Business Women in Leadership positions to inspire others into taking seats in the boardroom. Its main objective is to develop strategic and innovative concepts which will bring together a line-up of inspirational women {and men} in the corporate and business milieu with insightful corporate stories and individual support to share with young corporate aspirants. The end goal of the Corporate Women in Leadership initiatives is to inspire young leaders to reach the top of the corporate ladder or exceed business expectations. Targeting women from all walks of life, this initiative aims at guiding women on best leadership practices that will impact career progression and inspire a change in mindset. Although independently managed, The Corporate Women In leadership is part of a bigger program called The Corporate Awards, an initiative launched in 2016 as part of FabAfriq Media Group Leadership Program.

The corporate world as we know it has been misogynistic and driven by testosterone, allowing a huge disparity between the men and women in the workspace. Women have gotten so used to being told their place that they believed it. In the 20th century and moving forward, the surge for diversity & inclusion has overtaken every industry. Today women are given opportunities to be corporate pacesetters across different departments. It doesn’t come easy, but it is possible! It takes more women coming together to lift each other up, mentor each other and guide the young ones to wrap their heads around this corporate chain to ensure a successful continuation of female induction in the corridors of power.
