Overview
Columbus’ imaginetic center
"Corporations…local government, schools, voluntary association and others…need to examine their potential futures imaginatively. One way to help them to do so would be to establish in each community 'imaginetic centers' devoted to technically assisted brainstorming. These would be places where people noted for creative imagination…are brought together to examine present crises, to anticipate future crises, and to speculate freely, even playfully, about possible futures." Alvin Toffler, Future Shock, p. 464
Columbus Futurists is the region’s “imaginetic center,” creating and curating ideas and images of the future. Columbus Futurists imagines not only crises but also opportunities and preferred futures. Columbus Futurists imagines the future of energy and the environment, education, technology, society and culture, politics and the future of Central Ohio.
