Cereals Canada

Cereals Canada represents the Canadian value chain for wheat, oats and barley. These grains are staple foods for families across the globe and are some of the most economically important crops in Canada.

Grown by farmers across our country, wheat, oats and barley are planted on almost 14 million hectares each year, producing almost 46 million tonnes of food each year. The direct economic impact of these crops is significant, with sales of these crops returning over $8 billion per year to Canadian farms, plus unlocking more than $8 billion annually through global exports.

Canadian cereals are known for their consistency and high quality by customers at home and abroad. Canada is a leading global exporter of cereal commodities and proudly holds the position as the world’s #1 exporter of durum wheat and oats. By mobilizing the value chain across priority areas, Cereals Canada is building on Canada’s position as a reliable, nutritious and sustainable supplier of cereal grains.
