Brinly-Hardy Company

There are 180 years of design and manufacturing know-how built into every piece of equipment that’s moved out our doors. Trusted Since 1839, Brinly-Hardy Co. has been dedicated to providing quality, durable, and innovative lawn and garden tools made here in the USA. We trace our origin to “Little John Brinly,” a blacksmith who set up shop in Kentucky around 1800 and made plows in his spare time when he wasn’t shoeing horses, mules, and oxen of the settlers headed West. He crafted the first “Brinly” plow with a wooden moldboard, cast iron front, point and heel bolt.

While processes and technology have changed since our inception, our commitment to quality remains the same. Everything we produce has been thoughtfully designed, precisely tooled, and built for you, the “Do-It-Yourself” consumer – and crafted for quicker, easier lawn renovation. No matter whether you are trying to keep your yard in tip top condition, working to keep your small farm going, or are in the beginning stages of starting a lawn care business, we have what you need to get the job done.
