The company was founded in 1939 by Kurt Brandenburger. It is based in Landau in the federal state of Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The company's founder was a pioneer in the field of plastics engineering and enjoyed an excellent reputation as an author of numerous expert papers. The independent, medium-sized company group is certified in accordance with DIN ISO 9001. It has a workforce of 140 employees.
