Black Bear Builders – NJ

We Make an Inherently Difficult Process, Less Difficult

At Black Bear we specialize in large-scale residential renovations, including additions, standalone structures, multiple-room remodels, and interior layout alterations. We are a design/build firm with experience working on a wide range of homes – from 1700’s farmhouses to modern construction. Our hallmark is our insistence on perfection – we accept only the highest-quality craftsmanship, superior communication and exceptional customer service.

Founded in 2010, our small team quickly grew as clients recognized our depth of knowledge, skill and responsiveness. At Black Bear, people and process differentiate us from the competition. Having talented carpenters who are great communicators and respect client needs and ideas is only the first step. By focusing on cleanliness, communication, clear expectations and costs we make your build journey – which is inherently inconvenient and bound to include surprises – smoother and much more enjoyable.

Your satisfaction is our top priority. That’s why 50% of our current projects are for repeat customers, and another 25% from referrals!

"Stop researching and just use Black Bear Builders!!!! We did a complete reno of a primary bathroom upstairs that's enormous... Excellent drawings, suggestions, customer service. Couldn't have asked for a better partner in this huge endeavor. You won't be disappointed."

“Black Bear is the most professional outfit I have ever worked with.... They were highly responsive, patient and extremely customer-focused and service-oriented. They were very conscientious also with communication, and with scheduling and timing including working with a very light impact on the rest of our home and family including pets. They showed up like clockwork... and even handled a major curveball they were delt... with grace.... Can’t say enough about them. Great company and a great group of guys.”
