Biota Inc.

What could your team do with faster PFAS analytics?

Biota is a VC-backed environmental diagnostics company building the tools needed to power the growing PFAS cleanup economy.

Today, PFAS testing is one of the biggest bottlenecks slowing remediation projects and water treatment decisions. Traditional analytical workflows rely on slow, labor-intensive sample preparation and centralized laboratory testing, creating delays that can stretch from days to weeks.

Biota is modernizing this workflow by bringing diagnostic innovation from biotechnology into the environmental sector.

Our platform includes two complementary technologies designed to accelerate PFAS monitoring:

MagnaPrep™

A magnetic nanoparticle PFAS concentration system that replaces traditional solid-phase extraction (SPE) cartridges used in LC-MS workflows. MagnaPrep simplifies sample preparation, increases laboratory throughput, and enables automation of one of the most time-consuming steps in PFAS analysis.

RapidTest™

A rapid PFAS screening system designed to deliver quantitative PFAS measurements in minutes using fluorescence detection. RapidTest enables faster decision-making in the field and supports continuous monitoring of PFAS treatment systems.

Together, these technologies deliver faster, more scalable PFAS analytics to the companies building the infrastructure needed to clean our water and protect public health.
