BHP, Chartered Accountants

BHP is one of the largest firms of chartered accountants in Yorkshire, providing high-quality assurance, advisory, corporate finance and tax services.

Our size and our people are our strength. With more than 450 people, including 37 partners across five offices, we’re large enough to handle complexity, yet small enough to build trusted relationships, ensuring we never lose sight of our clients’ needs and challenges.

As a certified Great Place to Work, we pride ourselves on our positive culture and being a supportive workplace that places the well-being and future success of our people at the forefront of what we do.

We’re proud of our Yorkshire roots and enjoy working with many of the county’s top owner-managed businesses, but we think globally, enabling us to offer advice on an international scale.

In 2026, BHP became part of Sumer - a collaboration of renowned regional accountancy practices with a shared vision to champion local small to medium-sized enterprises.

By bringing together the best in advisory & professional services, Sumer retains the value that community-based practices offer and combines this with the scale, breadth of expertise and technologies that only a national organisation can muster.

Through our unique approach, we believe we can make a real positive impact and achieve growth for our company, our colleagues and our clients. Together, we are about doing the right things, putting people first and delivering the best possible services to those who sit at the heart of our economy and communities.
