Overview
From Marshes to the Mountains, Connecting the World
Basra Airlines is Iraq’s new-era full-service carrier, proudly headquartered in Baghdad. Founded in September 2022 by aviation pioneer Mr. Moffak Sabir Hamad, we are on a mission to reconnect Iraq with the world through safety, reliability, and uncompromising excellence.
With a modern fleet of two Bombardier CRJ-1000 aircraft, we deliver comfort, efficiency, and reduced emissions while shaping a sustainable future for Iraqi aviation. Our vision is to transform Baghdad International Airport into a vibrant international hub, opening economic, cultural, and tourism corridors that link Iraq to high-demand regional and global destinations.
Every journey with Basra Airlines reflects the timeless beauty of Iraq—from the southern marshes to the northern mountains. We combine digital-first booking platforms, warm onboard hospitality, and a culture of service that meets and exceeds ICAO and Iraqi CAA standards.
Our Values:
• Safety is our compass.
• Excellence is our destination.
• Modernization is our wingspan.
