1968 yılında, YIRCALI ailesinin önderliğinde kurulan BALYEM, Türkiye’nin kurulan ilk yem fabrikalarından biridir. BALYEM, Türkiye’de modern ve ekonomik hayvancılığın gelişmesine her zaman destek olmuş ve bu yönde her türlü yatırımı zamanında yapmıştır. Balıkesir’in ülkemizde hayvancılık sektöründe öne çıkan illerinden biri olmasında, BALYEM’in katkıları büyüktür.
Yetiştiricinin ihtiyacı olan ürün çeşitliliği, kalite ve bilgi açığını her zaman bünyesinde bulundurduğu teknik personelleri ve danışmanları yoluyla yetiştiricisine sunan BALYEM, bu yönde yaptığı yatırımlarla yıllardır sektörüne yön veren bir kuruluş olmuştur.
