Backhouse

Backhouse is an independent, design-led housebuilder focused on creating and delivering aspirational and desirable homes for people to live in where communities can grow.

Backhouse was born out of a desire to establish an innovative British housebuilder who could deliver new homes of outstanding design quality which respond to the needs of today’s contemporary lifestyles.

Founder Theo Backhouse believes that consumers have lacked choice in the new homes market for too long and that buyers deserve a better designed, sensibly priced, more interesting home providing smart living solutions. Driven by a highly experienced and motivated team, Backhouse is firmly focused on delivering housing schemes that we are proud of.

We work with the very best in architectural talent to produce liveable homes that reflect the way we live today whilst offering a strong sense of place and community identity. We are passionate about creating places which are sympathetic to their location and respect the existing environment.

Backhouse specialises in small-medium sized developments primarily across the South West of England and our focus on design, build quality and detail give a Backhouse home the space, light and flexible living opportunities that re-define what a new home looks and feels like.

We are committed to giving home buyers more choice and producing the very best in new homes in the UK.
