Atlantic Council of Montenegro

The Atlantic Council of Montenegro promotes democracy, security and stability in Montenegro and wider region. It continues to be the leading platform gathered around democratic and development principles of euroatlantism enabling further dialogue and discussions on the key international questions, processes and changes in the Trans-Atlantic region and SEE.

The Atlantic Council stimulates dialogue and discussion on critical national, regional and international issues, with a view to enriching public debate and promote consensus on appropriate responses in the Government, the corporate and non-profit sectors, and the media in Montenegro. Through the publications we write, the ideas and solutions we promote, the Atlantic Council's activities and programs are helping to identify and shape policy responses to major issues that Montenegro and the wider region is facing.

The Atlantic Council implements its activities through three of its centers: the Digital Forensic Center, the Center for Countering Terrorism and Violent Extremism, and the Center for International Relations.

The Atlantic Council is the main organizer of the 2BS (To Be Secure) Forum, the largest politico-security conference in South East Europe. The 2BS FORUM is an annual high-level forum that deals with issues of global, Euro-Atlantic, and security issues in SEE. The main characteristic of this Forum is the participation of numerous high officials, prominent academics, and experts in security policy and related state management.

The Youth Atlantic Treaty Association (YATA) is a very important pillar of the Atlantic Council, with its young members participating in many activities in the country and abroad.
