Over the years, the company consolidated its position as a leader in the Romanian home appliances market and one of the country’s most important industrial exporters and employers. With almost €400 million invested in production facilities in Romania since 2002, the expanding its manufacturing capabilities and integration of advanced technologies and sustainability practices across its operations.

By operating two of the largest home appliance factories in continental Europe: the Găești refrigerator factory, and the Ulmi washing machine factory, Romania’s first Industry 4.0 production facility, recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Sustainability Lighthouse for its advanced sustainability and digital manufacturing performance.

The company strengthened Romania’s role as a strategic manufacturing, innovation and sustainability hub within Europe, exporting 84% of its production in over 80 countries worldwide.

Today, this journey continues under a new corporate identity: Beko Romania, reflecting the evolution of the company and its growing international role within Beko Group, while the Arctic brand continues to remain a strong and strategic presence on the local market. Arctic will continue to develop, innovate and invest in technologies designed around the real needs of consumers, carrying forward the legacy.
