Afet Araştırmaları Derneği (AAD) 17 Ağustos 1999 tarihinde gerçekleşen Büyük Marmara Depreminin 20. Yıl Dönümü olan 17 Ağustos 2019 tarihinde Ankara’da bir araya gelen 9 (dokuz) afet gönüllüsü tarafından kurulmuştur.
TC Ankara Valiliği İl Sivil Toplumla İlişkiler Müdürlüğüne 19 Ağustos 2019 (Pazartesi) günü gerçekleştirilen başvurumuz neticesinde derneğimiz 06-137-186 kütük numarası ile aynı gün tüzel kişilik kazanmıştır.
Derneğimizin tüzüğü TC Ankara Valiliği İl Sivil Toplumla İlişkiler Müdürülüğü tarafından incelenerek ‘5253 sayılı Dernekler Kanunu ve 4721 sayılı Türk Medeni Kanunu Hükümlerine aykırı bir durum içermediği 04 Eylül 2019 tarihinde tarafımıza bildirilmiştir.
