About

In Syria, recovery is not only about rebuilding what was lost. It is about empowering people to lead what comes next.

Violet is a youth-led, community-rooted humanitarian organization working to support crisis-affected communities across Syria through emergency response, early recovery, and long-term resilience.

Since its beginnings, Violet has been driven by young women and men who believe that local communities are not passive recipients of aid, they are the leaders of recovery, rebuilding, and sustainable change.

What makes Violet different is its ability to connect immediate humanitarian action with long-term impact. We work closely with communities, volunteers, civil society organizations, and partners to design responses that are fast, dignified, locally informed, and built around real needs.

Violet’s Achievements:

- 192 projects implemented across emergency response, early recovery, health, education, protection, livelihoods, WASH, shelter, and community resilience.

- $58M+ in implemented program budgets.

- 333 locations covered through field and community-based interventions.

- 1,430 team members and 5,000 volunteers mobilized.

- 50,000 volunteering hours contributed by youth, CSOs, and local initiatives.

Our work spans key humanitarian and recovery sectors, including:

- Youth empowerment and community resilience

- Emergency response

- Health and nutrition

- Education and child protection

- Food security and livelihoods

- WASH, shelter, and infrastructure rehabilitation

- Protection, psychosocial support, and GBV services

Through every program, Violet works to restore dignity, strengthen local leadership, and help communities move from survival toward recovery.
