The Islamic Chamber of Commerce and development, established in 1977, is an affiliated institution of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and is the sole representative for the private sector of all 57 Member Islamic Countries.

ICCD works very closely and in tandem with the National Chambers, Unions, Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of its member countries, International Organizations to advocate for strengthened international collaboration in the fields of trade, commerce, information technology, insurance/reinsurance, shipping, banking, promotion of investment opportunities and joint ventures.
