Sustainable Stitch Initiative

The Sustainable Stitch is a social enterprise dedicated to reducing the environmental impact of the fashion industry and empowering marginalized communities. Our mission is to transform excess and unwanted fashion materials into unique, sustainable fashion items while providing training in sewing and upcycling to gender-based violence (GBV) survivors and individuals from the LGBTQ community. Our strategic approach involves equipping these individuals with valuable skills that foster economic independence and personal empowerment. By integrating sustainability with skill-building, we aim to achieve a dual social impact: reducing fashion industry waste and enhancing the economic and social well-being of marginalized groups, while preserving Lebanese heritage through our culturally inspired products.
