Singer Bangladesh Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited company on September 04, 1979 under Companies Act 1913. It was converted into a Public Limited Company in 1983 by offering shares to the public upon taking the requisite permission from the Government. In 2019, Arçelik acquired Singer Bangladesh Ltd. Arçelik is the flagship consumer durables company of turkish conglomerate Koç Holding, which is the only Turkish company represented in the fortune 500 global list. Singer Bangladesh is 57% owned by Arcelik and the remainder of shares of the company are publicly traded in DSE and CSE.
