Erdemir Maden

Commencing ore production in Sivas-Divriği in 1938, the company continued operations under the business name Demir Madenleri İşletmesi from 1940 and joined OYAK Mining Metallurgy Group in 2004. The company’s nine iron and one manganese sites undertake 50% of all iron ore production in Turkey and meet 20% of the country’s iron ore needs. In addition, Erdemir Maden Turkey’s only pellet plant that serves the input material requirements of the iron and steel industry. Our annual production capacity includes 1.5 million tons of pellet and 750 thousand tons of iron ore lumps.
