Founded in Istanbul in 2005, Ay Yapım is Turkey's leading television and film production company and the only Turkish studio to win three International Emmy Awards — Best Telenovela for Kara Sevda (2017) and Yargı (2023), and Best Drama Series for Deha (2025).
Recognized seven consecutive times as Turkey's top television content exporter by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (2016–2025), Ay Yapım has produced over 4,500 hours of content and 21 feature films, distributed across 160+ countries, with a prime time presence in more than 80 of them.
The company's catalog spans two decades of defining Turkish drama: Yaprak Dökümü, Ezel, Aşk-ı Memnu, Kuzey Güney, Fatmagül'ün Suçu Ne?, Karadayı, Medcezir, Kara Para Aşk, Kara Sevda, Son, 20 Minutes, İçerde, Bana Sevmeyi Anlat, Cesur ve Güzel, Fi, Şahin Tepesi, Şahsiyet, Çarpışma, Kuzgun, and Çukur — series that have become a regular part of the lives of millions of viewers worldwide.
More than 28 international format remakes have been produced based on Ay Yapım originals, including Ezel, Aşk-ı Memnu, Fatmagül, Kuzey Güney, and Son, adapted across Europe, Russia, North America, Latin America, and the Middle East.
In cinema, Ay Yapım produced Burning Days (Kurak Günler), directed by Emin Alper, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival.
In 2025, Ay Yapım launched AI Yapım, a Singapore-based subsidiary focused on AI-assisted content production. Its debut project, Castle Walls, is among the global industry's first AI-generated television series, announced at MIPCOM 2025.
Ay Yapım currently produces content for domestic broadcasters, global streaming platforms, and international co-production partners across Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Spain, and Latin America.
