Hayrettin Akar, who has been involved in the textile business since 1990, founded Akar Textile Limited Company in 2004. Akar Textile had been operating with a sta headcount of 35 in a closed area of 1000 m2 until 2006. In 2015, it moved to a plant with a closed area of 55.000 m2 in a total area of 110.000 m2 and the Limited Company structure was converted into a joint-stock company. Akar Textile, established in Izmir and located in the Ataturk Organized Industrial Zone, is now among Aegean Region’s top ready-to-wear textile companies with an annual export capacity of 25-30 million units. Akar Textile sells ist own designs to its customers with a ratio of 35% in addition to its works under the scope of its “Design Center“. Usually within 4-8 weeks Akar Textile delivers to the world’s leading clothing brands H&M, Zara, Bershka, Pull&Bear, Stradivarius, C&A, Mango and We Company.
